For tear-prevention of cat litter liners: Using masking tape 1 ½ inches or wider, cut four or five strips the length of the sides and bottom of the litter pan and press directly onto the liner lengthwise. Also, cut a strip for each corner and press directly onto liner and over the sides of the pan. Not only will the masking tape help to hold the liner in place, but it will prevent tears, thus saving you money on liners.
